My name is Silja, I’m 31 years old and I live in the sphincter of hell, otherwise known as Tromsø, Norway. I use the term “sphincter of hell” wrongly of course, because the hellishness comes from the insane amount of snow and cold we tend to get for about 8 months of the year.
I work in the emergency ward of the University Hospital of Northern Norway to give it its full name. I’m not in the life saving businesses however, I’m more in the nerdy “let’s make sure everything is correct in the computer system” business.
When not at work or in some sort of social situation (it happens!) – I busy myself with my obsessions, mainly Iron Maiden and UK comedy.
I quite enjoy being single. I would only consider not being single if I had the right offer.
My favourite things to do are randomly rambling around in London and going to Iron Maiden concerts when I have the chance.
I also really enjoy twitter, especially when it offers the chance of being an activist from the comfort of my home.
So, as I enjoy twitter muchly, you may wonder why I would (re-)start macroblogging when I am already microblogging? Well, simple as — I had this domain sitting around with nothing on it, and I figured that sometimes I may want to say things that exceed 140 characters.

Sometimes it is summer in Norway...
